OnSize Discord Bot — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what our Discord bot does with the messages it reads. It covers only the bot. Purchases made on our online store are covered by our main store privacy policy.

Who we are

The bot is operated by OnSize Kft. ("we", "us"), registered at Gránit utca 9, 2142 Nagytarcsa, Hungary. We are the data controller for the processing described here.

What the bot does

We sell sneakers and streetwear. Our bot runs in a single Discord server where members post "want to buy" (WTB) requests — messages naming a sneaker model and a size.

The bot reads messages posted in the #wtb-eu channel only. It checks each request against our own stock. If we happen to have the item, our team is notified internally so that a member of our staff can contact you and offer it.

The bot never posts messages, never replies in the channel, and never sends direct messages. Any contact you receive from us is sent by a person.

What data we process

When you post in that channel, the bot receives:

• the text of your message;
• your Discord username and user ID;
• the message timestamp and the channel it was posted in.

We use the text to identify which product and size you are looking for. We use your username so that we can reach you if we have it in stock. We do not collect your email address, payment details, or anything from your Discord profile beyond the above.

Why we are allowed to do this

Our legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): responding to publicly posted buying requests in a channel whose stated purpose is to connect buyers with sellers. If you post a WTB request in that channel, you are asking sellers to respond.

You can object to this at any time — see below.

How long we keep it

Message content is processed as it arrives and is not written to any database. Our automation system is configured not to retain the messages it handles.

If your request matches our stock, an internal notification containing your message and your Discord username is sent to our team. These notifications are kept for no longer than 12 months and are then deleted.

If we do not have the item, nothing about your message is retained.

Who else sees it

Message text passes through n8n, a workflow automation service hosted in the EU, which forwards it to our own matching system. n8n acts as a processor on our behalf and does not use the data for its own purposes.

We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose your messages to anyone else. We do not use them to train machine learning or AI models.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to the processing entirely. If you object, we will stop processing your messages and, where possible, exclude you from future processing.

Write to support@onsize.eu and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH) — naih.hu.

How to avoid this entirely

The bot only reads one channel. If you do not want us to process your requests, simply do not post in #wtb-eu. Messages you post anywhere else in the server, or in any other server, are never seen by the bot.

Changes

If we change how the bot works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
